IF YOU LIKE CHINESE FOOD
When it comes to Chinese food, I’m a fan, a nerd, a true obsessive.
I believe that food is one of the world’s great unifiers, it’s the thing that’s made me cross continents for a mouthful of something delicious, that has taken me out of my comfort zone in search of new tastes and at the same time created a cocoon of comfort from familiar smells and flavours. Food connects cultures for me, my mission is to do the same for everyone who eats at my table.
I have been lucky enough to spend years of my life living and working in Hong Kong. While I make no claims on the authenticity of my cooking; I took countless cooking classes; I looked over chefs shoulders whenever I could; I met with food lovers, food historians and food writers all over Asia to learn and explore.
Here in Berlin, I am cooking with the ingredients available to me locally so that the authenticity stems from a deep respect for everything that I learned in Hong Kong and China but also a deep respect for the quality and source of the ingredients I use. I believe good food comes from good produce.
Like all the best things it’s about sharing, bringing my love for Chinese food to the table so that you can taste the joy and fun of the whole culinary and cultural journey.
